We are looking for an Account Manager to join our sales team, reporting to the Key Account Management (KAM) Lead. The role focuses on managing a portfolio of complex client accounts, building strong relationships, understanding how clients use our data, and supporting their continued growth and success.
This role combines relationship management, commercial responsibility, and close collaboration with internal teams, and requires curiosity, structure, and a proactive mindset. This role is offered as a maternity cover for an existing Account Manager position. Any continuation beyond the initial contract would depend on future organizational needs and mutual interest. • Develop a solid understanding of each client’s organization, priorities, sustainability objectives, and key stakeholders.
• Maintain regular, structured exchanges to stay close to client developments and plans. Supporting Client Value Creation
• Ensure clients can translate our data into solutions, tools, or workflows that create tangible value.
• Check that these solutions exist, remain relevant, and continue to deliver value over time.
• Support clients in reflecting on how their data usage is evolving and inspire further relevant use cases.
• Act as a thoughtful sparring partner, linking sustainability goals with practical data usage. Commercial & Account Management
• Actively grow assigned client accounts by expanding value-creating use cases and commercial scope over time.
• Own the commercial development of assigned accounts, including renewals, extensions.
• Understand contractual and licensing frameworks and support conversations around scope, usage, and coverage.
• Identify changes in client usage, organization, or tooling that may affect the commercial setup and address them proactively.
• Provide clear, structured input into forecasting, including timing, value changes, risks, and context. Strategic Account Planning
• Plan and execute account strategies focused on strengthening relationships, expanding relevant use cases, and sustaining engagement.
• Monitor client activity, market developments, and public signals (e.g. sustainability commitments, partnerships, product launches) and assess their relevance.
• Translate observations into concrete actions, discussion points, or opportunities. Coordination & Internal Collaboration
• Coordinate client topics across internal teams (e.g. legal, technical, product, operations) to ensure timely and well-structured responses.
• Represent the client internally and support alignment across functions.
• Maintain accurate CRM documentation on account status, opportunities, and key developments.
• Contribute to improving internal processes and ways of working within the account management team.
What you bring
• At least 4 years of experience in B2B account management, sales, consulting, or a comparable client-facing commercial role.
• Solid exposure to commercial contracts, contract language, and negotiations; comfortable collaborating with legal teams.
• Familiarity with commercial planning and forecasting cycles, including renewals, budgeting timelines, reforecasting, and explaining revenue changes or timing shifts.
• Confident use of CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot) and structured account management practices.
• Experience in sustainability, environmental data, or related domains is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a bonus. Skills & Ways of Working
