Risk Officer / Risk Control (2nd line of defense)

We are looking for a highly motivated Risk Officer.

Your main responsibilities

• Define and control the management of operational and financial risks
• Develop and implement effective and efficient risk-specific management frameworks
• Support the further enhancement and integration of the ICS incl. internal regulations, risk-control matrix, risk assessment, and risk appetite
• Manage projects that enhance the risk management and risk control capabilities
• Identify, assess, limit, and report operational, interest rate, liquidity, and market (FX) risks
• Monitor the performance of the controls by the risk-taking departments to mitigate operational risks
• Standardize internal procedures to effectively and efficiently identify, assess, escalate, and report risks
• Analyze the data quality in the IT systems, data interfaces, and reports and propose enhancements
• Other assigned tasks and projects to enhance our risk management and control capabilities

Your qualifications

• Relevant education and ca. 10 years of professional experience in the banking or financial services industry
• Strong interest in all areas of risk management, especially ICS and operational risks
• Strong analytical skills for data quality and workflow analysis
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently
• Excellent communication skills and multicultural awareness
• Experience with regulatory reporting systems (FiRE) would be a plus
• Advanced education in the field of risk management (GARP FRM) and accounting (CFA) would be a plus
• A positive and highly motivated ‘hands-on’ work mentality
• Proficiency in English, Mandarin would be a plus
